Is grateful to Slashdot for finally noticing that LGP exists, after militantly ignoring any game release we have made for the last 5 years, as soon as reports of our death come through, we get a front page story. Slashdot - Your support of Linux is inspirational.
For others who wonder, we are very much alive. We have had a couple of staffing issues on the admin side of things, which explains most of our silence, but work is progressing on more than one unannounced title. We will offer further updates as and when there is news to update you with.

Our apologies go out to our few remaining PPC customers.

After a great deal of demand from our customers, LGP is announcing the immediate availability of downloadable games to our resellers. This facility will allow any LGP reseller to sell downloadable copies of several of our games to the public.

LGP will NOT be selling downloadable games directly, but we expect that a number of our resellers (who were notified and provided specifications several weeks ago) will be launching download availability in the coming days.
Initially, Sacred: Gold Edition, X3: Reunion, and Jets'n'Guns will be available, with more games being added over time.
In addition, these games will also be available for rental, either for 1 week or 1 month, via those resellers that choose to offer that facility. Rental games are exactly the same as the full versions of the games, but with access keys that require internet access, and expire after a period of time after they are first activated.

People said that we made the clues for Disciples 2 far too easy, so your clues for these games are:

1 ) One game is a racing game, the other has cars but isnt about racing.
2 ) One was released in the US towards the end of 2001, the other was released much more recently.
3 ) Both games were made by the same European developer.

Good luck!

Along with our Majesty competition, we are now running a competition to guess the new title we will be porting. This title will be announced within the next two weeks, and whoever can guess the title will win a copy of the game signed by the LGP staff. To make your guess send an email to competition@linuxgamepublishing.com.
As nobody guessed the Majesty title, we will give some clues this time:

1 ) The title has 3 words and one number
2 ) The Windows release date was in the Q1 2002
3 ) It is a strategy game

Good luck!
